LoreMakers Community Guidelines

Because fantasy is for everyone—and we mean it.

At LoreMakers, we build worlds that are immersive, inclusive, and rooted in community. Whether you're donning your velvet cloak for a winter ball, selling your wares at our book faire, or dancing under starlight beside fellow dreamers, you are part of something magical.

To protect that magic, we ask all guests, vendors, authors, volunteers, and staff to uphold the following community standards across our events, spaces, and online platforms.

We welcome everyone.

All gender identities, sexual orientations, races, religions, body types, and abilities are welcome at LoreMakers events. We actively uplift marginalized voices and stories—because fantasy should never gatekeep.

Respect is non-negotiable.

Treat others with kindness and consideration. This includes:

  • Respecting personal boundaries and space

  • Using people’s correct names and pronouns

  • Listening when someone says “no”

  • Following dress codes and prop rules

  • Being patient and courteous with fellow guests, vendors, and staff

Zero tolerance for hate or harassment.

We do not tolerate:

  • Hate speech or symbols

  • Discrimination of any kind

  • Harassment, threats, stalking, or unwanted attention

  • Body shaming or cosplay policing

  • Bullying, online or offline

  • Disrespect toward vendors, performers, or creators

Violation of these policies may result in immediate removal from the event without a refund, and potential bans from future events.

Consent is key. Always.

Whether you’re asking for a dance, a photo, or a conversation—get consent first.
Never touch another person or their costume, props, or booth setup without permission.

Taking someone’s photo? Ask first.
Want to hug a friend or stranger in costume? Ask first.
Even magical folk need boundaries.

Accessibility and comfort matter.

If you need accommodations or have sensory sensitivities, contact us ahead of time—we’ll do our best to make your experience magical. Our events are constantly evolving to become more inclusive and accessible.

If you see something, say something.

We take all concerns seriously. If something or someone makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please tell us. You can:

  • Speak with a staff member

  • Visit the check-in desk

  • Email us at hello@loremakersevents.com

All reports will be handled with discretion, care, and without retaliation.

Let’s make magic—together.

The best fantasy worlds are the ones where everyone feels like they belong. Thank you for being part of this one.

Let’s create a realm worth escaping to—every time.
